Donate for Dreams recently spearheaded a community-driven initiative to collect educational resources, including mathematics and English books, for schools and community organizations in Sri Lanka. Organized and directed by Malindu Talagala, this project successfully gathered contributions from community members to support institutions in profound need of supplementary learning materials.

Many of the students supported through this initiative had limited access to books outside of the classroom. By distributing these materials, the organization’s goal was to provide these children with additional opportunities to strengthen their reading, English-language, and mathematical skills, while encouraging them to continue learning and pursuing their educational aspirations.

Project Director Malindu Talagala was instrumental in driving this effort, dedicating his time to ensure students received resources that foster both academic and personal development. Echoing his vision, Donate for Dreams hopes these books will not only build the students’ knowledge and confidence but also inspire them to work toward their future dreams. This initiative was especially meaningful to our organization because it allowed us to directly uplift children and communities by providing practical, enduring educational tools that they can continue to benefit from for years to come.
